Dean Smith has been prepping for his marriage proposal to his girlfriend Jennifer for 365 days.

Dean Smith decided he would show his love and devotion by spending a year proposing to his girlfriend without letting her in on the secret. He started planning on Jan. 8, 2014, which is also Jennifer’s birthday. He then shows himself holding up a sign with a sweet message for her for the next year.

After filming parts of his video daily over the next year, Smith recruited Jennifer’s friends and family to help him propose to her in person on vacation they had taken to Aruba.
