Police have recovered the body of a murder victim in Niagara Falls.
The Niagara Falls man had been missing since late December when his burning car was found near the Niagara River in Fort Erie.
Since then, four people have been charged in his slaying even though his body was missing.
It’s rare that murder charges are filed without a victim’s body being found.
“We wouldn’t have laid the charges if we didn’t believe he was murdered. It’s an ongoing investigation.” Niagara Regional Police Det.-Sgt. Paul Thibert said in early January, when officers were still hunting for Fraser’s body.
Niagara police say they solved that mystery at about 6 p.m. Tuesday when the body of the 49-year-old Fraser was recovered at the Sir Adam Beck Generating Station in Niagara Falls.
Charged with first-degree murder in the slaying of Fraser are Victoria Harvey, 20; Brad MacGarvie, 25; Duran Wilson, 29; and Thomas Nagy, 25.
