Sam Smith has shed more than 14 pounds in two weeks.
The 22-year-old singer took to his Instagram account to pay tribute to nutritionist Amelia Freer after he “completely transformed” his relationship with food by taking tips from her book “Eat. Nourish. Glow.”
“Three weeks ago I met a woman who has completely changed my life,” he wrote.
“Amelia Freer has helped me lose over a stone in 2 weeks and has completely transformed my relationship with food. Everyone go check out her incredible book, and start to live healthy. It’s not even about weight loss it’s about feeling happy in yourself. Love you Amelia & thank you for making me feel so happy inside and out.”
Freer is a qualified nutritional therapist. She said on her website that she follows a “gluten, dairy, and refined sugar free” diet and her plan resonates “most closely with the pale concept.” When working with clients, though, she calls upon her “extensive study, training and expertise…to help clients achieve their health goals which can be many and varied.” And Smith is definitely one of her clients that she helped.
Through Smith’s caption, it’s clear that he is trying to “eat clean” and live healthy. He also posted a picture to show his slimming figure and his work out hours at the gym, captioning it, “Gym is kicking my ass today.”
Some say the reason behind Smith’s eagerness to lose weight is because Howard Stern called Smith fat and ugly. “You know what I like about the guy? He’s an ugly motherf***r. He’s fat … Is he gay? He looks gay to me, not that anybody looks gay, but he does seem effeminate … I like that he’s chubby and gay,” Stern said during a radio countdown on Sirius XM two months ago. “That’s why I love him. He’s one of those guys I feel like, he’s really good but I feel like (“Stay With Me”) will be his only hit song.”
