A pack of stray dogs have turned up to the funeral of a kind Mexican woman who fed them, apparently to pay their respects.
Margarita Suarez was an avid animal lover and reportedly spent time caring for cats and dogs in her local township, feeding them each morning.
Sadly, Ms. Suarez’s health had deteriorated at the beginning of the month and she passed away quickly.

On the day of the ceremony, as her children were arranging the proceedings, a number of dogs miraculously began to turn up at the funeral parlour. According to Misiones Online, workers at the funeral home denied any knowledge of the animals and said they had never seen them before. It became clear they were there to pay their final respects.
A large number of dogs reportedly followed the hearse carrying the coffin and even returned to the funeral home where they stayed until the body was being prepared for cremation.
The daughter of Ms. Suarez took to her Facebook page to share the amazing moment. “I’ll share photos of the saddest day of my life, only because something marvellous happened that I want to share,” she wrote. “Upon arrival at her wake, out of nowhere a group of dogs came into the salon and stayed there all night as if on guard.”
The daughter of Ms. Suarez was amazed at the display of grief exhibited by the group of dogs. She said that the dogs had been lying on the floor, and when the body of her mother came in they “rose as if they were at a party.”
“I swear by God that it was beautiful, marvellous,” she said.
