Two arrested in connection with disappearance of Alberta man

Investigators say they are hopeful a missing Cochrane man will be found alive after arresting two men Sunday in connection to his disappearance and assault March 29th.

RCMP in Cranbrook, B.C. arrested the two men early today without incident. At the time, both suspects were in the gray 2008 Dodge Charger, Alberta licence BDY-1907 that police had been seeking. The vehicle has been secured for forensic examination and the two suspects have been returned to Alberta to face charges.

The men in question are being held in Airdrie and will appear before a justice late this evening, where they will be formally charged and a date will be set for their first appearance in court. The exact charges will not be available until tomorrow.

In the meantime, the search continues for Lush and the RCMP remain hopeful he may still be found alive. The RCMP continue to ask for the public’s assistance in locating Nicholas Lush, who is Caucasian, 5”2”, 140 pounds, with brown eyes, brown hair and has a number of tattoos, including a flaming tattoo on his left arm, a demon skull on his right shoulder, and a scroll scribble on his stomach. He was last seen wearing a black Sons of Anarchy t-shirt, a green camouflage spring jacket, blue jeans, and black DC running shoes.

Lush is married with three children and his family and friends are extremely worried about his well-being. They urge anyone with any information that could help with the search to please step forward.

If you have any information related to either investigations,  call police or Crime Stoppers.
