Rep. Trey Radel — the Florida Republican who recently underwent rehabilitation following a cocaine bust — will return to Congress next week, Politico reports.
The Florida Republican purchased the drug from an undercover officer, according to reports.
Radel left rehab less than a month later after pleading guilty to the charge, and announced that he would return to work, and not step down as the Congressman for Florida’s 19th district.
“I look forward to getting back to work next week representing my neighbors in Southwest Florida as they face the burdens of Obamacare, a jobless recovery, and a federal government that continues to spend more than it takes in,” said Radel in a statement to NBC News.
Radel has not voted since November 15th.
