Surrey RCMP are asking people to look at the picture of the suspect vehicle in a hit and run that happened Monday.

A police officer actually saw the car speed off from the intersection where it happened at 96th Avenue and 128th Street, but stopped to help the victim instead.

Investigators are looking for a newer, silver four-door Honda Civic that likely has damage to its front end.

“As the investigation continues to advance, we are appealing for the driver responsible to contact our investigators,” says Corporal Bert Paquet. “In addition, we would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the Honda Civic or knows where the car or driver can be located.”

Surrey RCMP’s Criminal Collision Investigation Team (CCIT) is currently investigating. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 stating file number 2015-47247, or Crime Stoppers, at 1.800.222.TIPS.
