Police have arrested four suspects in connection with a Jane-and-Finch shooting that sent five people to hospital on Thursday.
One of the victims didn’t have any vital signs when police first arrived on the scene. Sgt. Steven Hicks performed CPR on the victim, which was revived in hospital.
The other victims suffered from various degrees of injuries, but police say they are non-life threatening.
Four suspects were arrested and the SIU reports that one of the suspects was shot during an altercation with police on Elmhurst Drive around 6:15 p.m. That’s near Islington Ave. and Rexdale Blvd.
The SIU says the victim suffered non-life threatening injuries and was being treated in hospital.
The Special Investigations Unit has assigned eight investigators and three forensic investigators to the case.
