According to media reports, Ricky Ricardo Chiles III, 27, shot himself as authorities were attempting to enter the room he was staying in with his girlfriend at the Presidential Motel, 3922 Harlem Ave.
Ricky Ricardo Chiles was wanted in connection with two fatal shootings in Milwaukee that occurred Sunday after a toddler – Chiles’ 2-year-old nephew – was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street outside a birthday party.
After the vehicle struck the toddler, Chiles shot and killed 40-year-old Archie Brown Jr., who was driving the vehicle, reports said. Also shot and killed was Chiles’ 15-year-old nephew Rasheed Chiles, the toddler’s brother. Rasheed Chiles reportedly was struck by gunfire at the scene and later died at an area hospital.
According to media reports, police were tipped to Chiles’ whereabouts in Lyons and then he took his own life as police attempted to gain access to his room and place him under arrest.
No other injuries were reported.
The Lyons Police Department asked that all questions be directed to the U.S. Marshals Service.
