Miranda Lambert poses with no makeup on for People magazine‘s annual World’s Most Beautiful issue. The natural look is close to what Miranda looks like when she’s at home in Oklahoma with husband, Blake Shelton.
The 31-year-old country singer and songwriter sat down with People to talk about her beauty routines, both on and off the road while touring. She also allowed them to photograph her sans makeup. Yet, like any true Texan-turned-Oklahoman, she’s a big fan of big hair. Cue the curling irons.
“On tour I do my own hair and makeup,” Lambert said, according to People. “That’s my time to focus and calm down, listen to music and warm up a little bit. I have a product bag the size of Texas – just makeup and hair stuff and curling irons.”
At least she’s honest. “Bathroom Sink,” a song from her latest album, Platinum, talks about her sacred time while getting ready. Most ladies would identify with this ever important ritual, right?
Miranda also has a routine for her time at home in Tishomingo, Okla., where she owns a store, bed and breakfast, and animal rescue center.
“I don’t wear a lot of makeup at home,” Lambert said. “When I’m just off and hanging out I just put on some tinted moisturizer and sunscreen and mascara. And lip gloss! It’s kind of an addiction.”
