16 eagles killed, dumped in British Columbia (Video)

Conservation officers in the South Cariboo region of B.C. say someone is killing eagles and dumping their carcasses.

This month a total of 16 eagles have been found dead in the area, with many of them dumped near 70 Mile House. According to Conservation, a number of the eagles have been found in plastic bags, in various stages of decomposition. The eagles appear to be fully intact, so it’s unclear why they were killed.

Some of the eagles have been shot, while other poisoned, and since being discovered they have been sent to a vet lab in Abbotsford. Officials are not sure who is responsible for the killings and are asking anyone with information to call the RAPP (Report all Poachers and Polluters) line at 1-877-952-7277.
