Hayley King, 22, was charged with unlawful, malicious tampering with a human drug product or food after officers arrested her Feb. 9th. King’s roommates told police that “multiple altercations” caused them to ask her to leave the house, but she refused, according to WIS-TV.
Scared of what she might do, the roommates decided to monitor the house with surveillance cameras, according to the station.
On Feb. 4th, the video appears to show King open the refrigerator and pull out certain dishes that she doctored with Windex or spit before returning them.
One roommate later told police that she ate some of the food containing Windex and spit before discovering what had happened. Confronted with the video, King confessed to police during questioning.
Hayley King was released on $5,000 bond and is due back in court Monday, Feb. 4th. The maximum penalty for the Class C felony charge is 20 years in prison.
