Man Killed in Crash in RM of Springfield : RCMP

A man is dead after a single-vehicle accident Monday in Rural Municipality of Springfield.

Beausejour RCMP said they responded about 4 p.m. to the crash on the north side of Springfield Road, about one kilometre east of Colony Road.

A pickup truck travelling westbound went off the road and hit a tree before coming to a stop in a ditch.

The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, a 58-year-old man from the RM of Brokenhead, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The RCMP continue to investigate.
