Toronto councillor Rob Ford has been released from hospital and will continue to recover from his tumour removal surgery at home.
Ford spent about two weeks in hospital following a surgery to remove a cancerous tumour from his abdomen.
That 10 hour proceedure happened on May 11th, and was deemed a success by doctors.
On Tuesday, Ford spokesperson Dan Jacobs said the councillor was released and looking forward to spending the rest of his recovery at home.
“He wishes to once again express his thanks to his medical team, his family, and everyday people from Toronto and around the world who have been supportive throughout his recovery.
He is greatly looking forward to returning to his office full time, where he can continue to serve the taxpayers of Toronto and ensure that their money is being spent wisely.” said Jacobs in a release.
But in a shock to many, Ford showed up in shorts and a t-shirt, wandering the halls at City Hall.
He’s only expected to return to work full-time in September.
