The CEO of Carl’s Jr. accuses Kim Kardashian of being unable to eat a burger.
During the interview, Puzder opened up about his company’s phenomenal ads which frequently feature scantily-clad women indulging in greasy burgers. He revealed that the company had a little problem filming a 2010 commercial which featured the reality star.
“We used Kim Kardashian in an ad. But Kim really couldn’t eat the burgers,” Puzder told the publication. “Luckily, we had a salad we were promoting, so we used Kim in the salad ad.”
He seemingly hinted that his company would never ask Kardashian to star in their ad again. “But if we had not been promoting a salad, we probably never would’ve done an ad with Kim, because she wasn’t good at eating the burger,” he added. “She’s too tiny. She’s really little.”
Puzder later said that not every famous model could be used in his famous burger ads because being a burger-eating model actually needed certain skill. “First of all, you really need to be able to eat the burger like you’re loving it,” he said.
“We don’t want somebody that’s going to go out there and say, ‘Well, I don’t eat burgers,’ ” he continued. “You really have to go at it. You really have to attack it.”
A rep for the celeb, however, said that the claim was completely wrong. The rep claimed that Kardashian was only used in salad commercial because at the time the ad was released, she was also releasing her fitness DVD. Hence, she wanted to eat something “that fit her image.”
