SQ officers are on the scene after a body was found in the town of Hinchinbrooke in southern Quebec.
A group told CTV Montreal they were out for a walk when they discovered the body in a bag in the water at around 7:30 P.M.
Some in the community said they believe it’s a male.
The Sûreté du Québec would only confirm that a body was found.
“I went up to see what was going on and seen the body in the river” resident Kenny Tompson said.
Thompson said the body had no legs.
Hinchinbrooke is a rural community in southern Quebec, in the Châteauguay Valley, with a population of about 2,200.
