Alexandre Gendron, 35, has been charged with the first-degree murder of girlfriend Cheryl Bau-Tremblay.
Alexandre Gendron appeared at the courthouse in Ste-Hyacinthe Friday morning. Police found Bau-Tremblay’s body in the home she shared with Gendron and his five-year-old son in Beloeil on Thursday.
Bau-Tremblay, 28, was last seen leaving her home on Saturday, Aug.1. She was five months pregnant.
Crown prosecutor Nancy Potvin said that there are several witnesses in the case and a large volume of evidence to go through.
Alexandre Gendron will appear in court on Sept.15.
