Christian Costello : Slain labor commissioner’s son is charged in father’s death

Christian Costello, 26, has been charged with one count of first-degree murder, According to police.

Mark Costello’s son, Christian, was arrested after Mark Costello was stabbed to death at a Braum’s Restaurant on Aug. 23. Christian Costello was charged on Monday with first-degree murder.

Police said Mark Costello was initially stabbed in the restaurant and walked outside to get help. Witnesses reportedly saw Christian Costello continue to stab his father as the pair walked outside.

A witness hit Christian Costello with his SUV to stop the attack and other bystanders detained Christian until police could arrive.

Mark Costello was laid to rest on Saturday.
