Christie Brinkley’s kids, Jack and Sailor Brinkley-Cook, stun in new photo shoot.
Shot at Old Westbury Gardens by photographer Matthew Brookes, the piece presents the duo in an array of designer clothing styled to show the blurred lines between what is considered masculine and feminine.
In the accompanying story, Sailor, 17, says that despite her parents’ contentious divorce that was played out blow-by-blow in the tabloids, “the best part of my childhood was how normal it was, given my circumstances.” Sailor, who has also appeared on the cover of Seventeen magazine, added, “It can be hard to be up-and-coming and constantly compared to an icon.”
Her brother, Jack, 20, an actor who graduated from a conservatory program at New York City’s Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, and who recently finished a role in a short film, said that establishing an acting career can be terrifying. “It’s an extremely competitive and challenging industry to conquer.” But he knows where to go for advice: “If I ever have anything I need to talk about or get over, Alexa is my go-to,” he said, referring to his half-sister Alexa Ray Joel.
Woes aside, the pair looks absolutely stunning in the feature, wearing clothes from the likes of Valentino and Yves Saint Laurent and proving that the apples, in this case, really don’t fall far from the tree.
