Wanted: Philip Seymour Hoffman’s Heroin Dealer

In the aftermath of Philip Seymour Hoffman‘s death via a heroin overdose, cops are now attempting to determine who his drug dealer was and the brand of heroin that he was sold.

The heroin, as previously reported, were found in glassine envelopes marked with symbols for the Ace of Spades and Ace of Hearts logos. According to Variety, 50 glassine envelopes were uncovered in Hoffman’s apartment. Police reportedly also found drug paraphernalia and prescription drugs.

“Basically what that is, is any time we make a narcotics arrest we include the brand name on the arrest report and store it in our system so our investigators can see where those brands are being sold,” the law enforcement source told the New York Post. It’s this process that could lead to determining where the drugs came from, and who exactly sold them to Hoffman.

Hoffman was found dead yesterday in his Manhattan apartment. He was 46.
