Vincent Margera, a frequent fixture on the popular MTV series “Jackass” and “Viva La Bam” — has died at the age of 59.
“He struggled with kidney and liver issues for a while, and he put up a good fight. But he died this morning at 6:45 a.m. at Chester County Hospital in West Chester, Pennsylvania,” CNN reports his sister-in-law April Margera said.
Vincent Margera was frequently the focus of his nephew’s pranks on the TV series and in the movies throughout the early to mid-2000s.
In 2007, Margera was found guilty of two counts of sexual assault on a minor after an autograph session in Colorado, Rolling Stone reported. Margera was sentenced to 10 years’ probation and was banned from playing “Don Vito” during that time, according to the Denver Post.
Johnny Knoxville, also from “Jackass,” tweeted Sunday, “RIP Don Vito. You will be missed. <3<3<3.”
