Liam Neeson has revealed how his late wife Natasha Richardson took secret singing lessons so she could serenade the Irish star at the couple’s wedding.
The Taken star reminisced on the couple’s romantic wedding, revealing that Natasha had some hidden musical talents up her sleeve for their special day in 1994!
“Behind my back Natasha had been taking singing lessons to sing it to me,” he told the host. “After the ceremony we were all going out to start the night’s festivities and she grabbed the microphone and she sang me [Van Morrison’s ‘Crazy Love’].”
“She had learned it and I was like ‘Wow!'”
Liam Neeson — who is a dad to their two children Micheál, 20 , and Daniel, 19 — first spoke of his beloved other half in on an episode of 60 Minutes in 2014.
“Her death was never real. It still kind of isn’t,” he shared of the freak ski accident that killed the vibrant 45-year-old. “There’s periods now when I hear the door opening, especially the first couple of years…anytime I hear that door opening, I still think I’m going to hear her.”
However, the duo had a previously made pact to pull the plug on one another if either ended up in a vegetative state. “I went in to her and told her I loved her. Said, ‘Sweetie, you’re not coming back from this,” he recalled. “You’ve banged your head. It’s – I don’t know if you can hear me, but that’s – this is what’s gone down. And we’re bringing ya back to New York. All your family and friends will come.”
You will forever be missed, Natasha.
