Jennifer Lawrence is being ripped for calling out a foreign reporter who read questions off his phone while trying to ask her questions after the Golden Globes on Sunday night.
The Hunger Games star was backstage after winning the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical for Joy and when a reporter attempted to ask her about the upcoming Academy Awards in February, she chastised him for failing to make eye contact with her.
“You can’t live your whole life behind your phone, bro,” she said. “You can’t do that. You’ve got to live in the now.”
The journalist apologized and tried to ask Lawrence the same question, but she cut him off again.
“We’re at the Golden Globes,” she added. “If you put your phone down you’d know that.”
Lawrence’s responses were met with laughter, but she remained straight-faced during the exchange.
