Nissan has released a rather uninformative teaser image for the updated GT-R that will make its official debut during the upcoming New York Auto Show.
Reportedly drawing upon the boundary-pushing Nismo GT-R, engine power is likely to be boosted from today’s 550hp, potentially up to the same 600hp as the Nismo itself.
0-62mph acceleration may not necessarily be even more electrifying (today’s standard car does it in 2.7 seconds; the Nismo is no faster) but track times will be improved, while aerodynamics may also draw from the Williams-developed Nismo’s Nürburgring-beating F1 track pack kit to up its high-speed abilities.
There probably won’t be any great visual advances for the 2017 GT-R, though: it’s very much a case of improving further what’s already there. That’s why the teaser image released by Nissan seems so familiar.

The key change appears to be sharp new LED lights for the trademark four-roundel rear end lamp graphic.
