Australia is well known for its deadly snakes, poisonous jellyfish and man-eating crocodiles – but new footage suggests giant killer spiders should be elevated on the list of the country’s scariest creatures.
Jason Womal shot video of the creature that’s actually two creatures – a Hunstman spider carrying a mouse in Coppabella, Australia.
“I was on my way to work, heading down towards my car, when my neighbor scared the buggery out of me by asking if I wanted to see a Huntsman spider eating a mouse in his house,” said Womal.
Don’t get too worried about the creepy site. The hunstman spider is most often seen in places like Australia; although it can be found in parts of the United States such as Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico.
The spider is named for its speed and style of obtaining prey.
