Hayden Cross, A 20-year-old man has become the first in the Britain to announce that he’s pregnant.
Hayden Cross who is legally male, was born a girl and started hormone treatment for his transition but put the process on hold in order to have a child through a sperm donor.
The dad-to-be is now four months pregnant after finding a sperm donor on Facebook.
The Man United fan told the Sun: “I don’t know who the bloke was. To be honest I can’t remember anything about him.
“He wouldn’t even tell me his name.
“He didn’t want any contact. He said he was just doing it to help people. It was the first attempt and it worked. I was really lucky.”
Bisexual Hayden – who hopes to be named as his child’s dad on the birth certificate – plans to go back to hormone treatment as soon as he gives birth.
He wanted to freeze his eggs and use them with a female partner in future.
But the NHS refused to fund the £4,000 cost and she couldn’t afford to go private so she turned to the internet.
The dad-to-be – who went to an all-girls school – said: “I didn’t have to pay.
“The man came to my house, he passed me the sperm in a pot and I did it via a syringe.
“I felt I’d no choice, I couldn’t afford a proper clinic.”
Hayden lives in a council-funded bedsit in Gloucester at the moment.
But he has vowed to get a job and give his child the best life possible.
However, he won’t breastfeed – as he hates his man-boobs.
Hayden said: “I don’t mind what I have as long as the baby is healthy, but it would be better if it is a boy. Then I can play football with him and go to the rugby and all that stuff.
“I can do that with a girl as well, but if it is a boy then I will find it easier to dress him.
“A girl might be difficult. It is awkward for a dad to have to explain periods and other women’s things like that.”
