Reese shared the snap of the two of them ahead of the premiere of HBO miniseries Big Little Lies, which also stars Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern and Alexander Skarsgaard.
And even she appeared to be commenting on the similarity with her #MatchyMatchy hashtag.
Ava, meanwhile, also joined in the fun as she posted a snap from the premiere – saying: ‘So proud of my awesome mama and her passion for this project’.
It’s not the first time that Reese has pointed out just how much the 17-year-old – from her marriage to her Cruel Intentions co-star Ryan Phillippe – looks like her.
Speaking to Vanity Fair the Legally Blonde star explained: I do see the resemblance. She’s a beautiful person inside and out. She’s just a good soul. I’m not sure what she thinks. I’m just ‘Mom’ to her.
‘I really have a rich, personal relationship with my daughter. I have a really great career, and it’s nice to be able to share it with my kids.’
