Nicole Richie has denied her bitter bust-up with Paris Hilton is over a viewing of the socialites sex tape.
Stick-thin Richie and the hotel heiress ended their life-long friendship last year after a mysterious falling out which meant they had to film the entire fifth series of their hit reality TV show The Simple Life separately.
Now Richie has sought to set the record straight following rumours they fell out after Hilton walked in on her pal holding a screening of the notorious sex-tape, filmed with Paris’ ex-boyfriend Rick Salomon.
She says that never happened, explaining, A, I don’t watch porn. And B, I don’t want to see someone I’ve known forever having sex. I mean, that’s gross!
The former heroin addict instead claims that she cut Hilton out of her life after she a period of reassessment following a stint in rehabilitation.
She tells Vanity Fair, When I got out of rehab, I had to figure out what path to go down, and part of that included taking certain people out of my life.
I just decided I didn’t want to be her friend anymore. We’re just two completely different people. We don’t have that much in common.”
