A man in his late teens or early 20s was found dead beside a Northside Jacksonville house Tuesday morning by students on their way to school.
Neighbors told police they heard gunshots Monday night, but according to Sgt. Waters no one reported them. The male victim, who is in his late teens to early twenties, was found dead Tuesday, but police did not say if he had any gunshots wounds.
A Jacksonville medical examiner and an Assistant State Attorney are on scene investigating. The cause and time of death have not been released at this time.
Sgt. Waters said there are no suspects or suspicious vehicles at this time.
The investigation is ongoing and foul play is suspected.
