Kelly Rowland has revealed she took breast augmentation advice from Beyoncé’s mother.
The singer listened to Tina Knowles, the parent of her Destiny’s Child bandmate, and her own mother Doris before going under the knife.
Kelly had a boob job when she was 28, which was 10 years after she initially wanted plastic surgery.
“The decision was 10 years in the making, so I’m comfortable talking about it,” the 30-year-old admitted. “It’s something I really wanted to do for myself — not for a man, not for work, for myself. And I love them!”
She also opened up about her childhood, where she grew up without a father, and sought comfort in watching episodes of ‘The Cosby Show.’
“It’s nothing I want a pity party for,” she shared. “He left me and my mom, and I was angry. I wanted to be a Daddy’s Girl so bad. God damn ‘The Cosby Show’ because that made me think, ‘Why aren’t my family like that?’”
“More than anything it’s taught me to provide my future children with a great father, and make sure I make the right decision when it comes to men,” Kelly said.
Sharing sentiments like this gives an inkling as to the ‘Motivation’ performer’s current mindset, in which children don’t seem to be in the foreseeable future — unlike her childhood friend and longtime collaborator Beyonce — nor a wedding.
