A newborn baby who was taken from a Trois-Rivieres hospital has been found safe and sound.
The Quebec Provincial police issued an Amber Alert, but quickly cancelled it after the abductor was found.
Officers say that the woman who is suspected of taking the child was arrested at her residence.
The woman, dressed in a red nurse’s uniform, left 10 minutes later with the baby after wrapping it in a blue blanket.
The abductor took off in a red Toyota Yaris hatchback with a “Baby On Board” sign on the rear window.
Police stopped the woman after she was recognized by citizens and found the baby safe about three hours later and returned the child to the hospital.
