Ottawa resident wins $32 million in Lotto Max, Report

It’s more than a bright, sunshiny day for one lucky Ottawan.

The winning ticket from the Friday Lotto Max draw — worth $32,685,302.80 — was bought by someone in the capital, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation announced Saturday morning.

Four other Ontarians joined the millionaires’ club Friday night.

Three winning Maxmillions tickets – worth $1 million each – were sold in Mississauga, Hamilton and Oakville, and one Encore ticket, worth $1 million, was sold in Hamilton

Since its launch in September 2009, Ontario LOTTO MAX players have won over $2 billion in prizes, including 35 jackpot wins and 205 winning MAXMILLIONS tickets from all across the province.

For each $5 play, LOTTO MAX players receive three sets of seven numbers ranging from one to forty-nine. Players must match all seven numbers, in any one set, to win the jackpot and the MAXMILLIONS prizes.

Next week’s LOTTO MAX jackpot will be an estimated $10 million.
