Two dogs found shot by hunting arrows in Kananaskis are recovering in Calgary after surgery. A Good Samaritan managed to catch the dogs after they were spotted Friday in Kananaskis Country. The dogs were turn over to a Calgary animal rescue group which has started a fundraiser to help cover medical costs.

California sea lion rescued off Salt Spring Island, fights for life
Vancouver Aquarium officials say an adult male California sea lion is being treated at their Marine Mammal Rescue Centre after being rescued from Salt Spring Island. Veterinarians with the Vancouver Aquarium were alerted about a sea lion in rough shape and headed out for the rescue.
