A male teenager was killed and three others were injured in a single-vehicle accident early this morning in rural Milton.
Police say a Pontiac Grand Prix carrying four people – 2 males and two females – was travelling south on Fifth Line when the driver lost control.
The vehicle then rolled over and struck a hydro pole before coming to rest in a field on the west side of the road.
One of the passengers, a 17-year-old boy, was pronounced dead at the scene.
All other occupants of the vehicle—including the 18-year-old driver – were taken to nearby trauma centres. All are reported to be in serious, but stable condition, police said in a news release Sunday afternoon.
The cause of the collision has not yet been determined.
The Halton Regional Police collision reconstruction team is investigating the crash.
