The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team has been assigned to investigate the police arrest of a young Calgary murder victim days before he went missing.
The 18-year-old was found dead in an Abbeydale pond on July 24th and police have since ruled that he was murdered.
But family members have called the whole situation into question, after police had contact with Crowshoe just a few days before he went missing.
The family is also wondering why Crowshoe’s disappearance wasn’t made public until more than two weeks after his disappearance.
ASIRT is now looking into the matter, saying they will focus on Crowshoe’s interactions with police prior to when he went missing.
