A Calgary motorcyclist is facing charges after being nabbed on Highway 2 north of Calgary, weaving in and out of traffic at nearly twice the posted speed limit.
At around 10 p.m., RCMP in Airdrie were alerted by several callers who dialed 911. When officers went to check out the complaint, they clocked the motorcyclist at 197 kilometres per hour near Crossfield.
A 21-year-old man from Calgary was arrested at the scene.
He’s now facing a string of charges including dangerous driving, driving without insurance and failing to produce an operator’s license.
