Two women are dead and a third is injured in hospital after a stabbing spree at a home in the city’s southeast Sunday night.
Around 6:30 p.m. police were called to a home in the 6400 block of Penbrooke Drive S.E. after reports of a stabbing.
When officers arrived they found one woman in her 30s already deceased, according to Calgary police.
A second woman, also in her 30s, was transported to hospital where she later died.
A third woman was taken to hospital in non life-threatening condition.
Police say the suspect fled the scene and was later located and arrested.
The stabbings are not considered random by investigators.
Police are not releasing further information until Monday.
