A man was arrested and is now facing charges following a seven hour-long police standoff that began after an alleged assault Tuesday morning.
Officers arrived around 11:30 AM Tuesday to reports that a man had been assaulted in an apartment in the 800 block of East 6th Avenue.
They found him with minor injuries to his face and he was taken to hospital.
But Vancouver Police says the suspect refused to follow police direction to exit.
Seven hours of negotiations later, officers obtained a warrant, entered and arrested the suspect.
The suspect is now facing charges in relation to the alleged assault of his roommate.
