A rural area northeast of Saskatoon is being evacuated after an explosion at a natural gas pumping station.
RCMP from Saskatoon and Vonda were called to a TransGas pumping station eight kilotmeters south of Prudhomme, which is about 60 kilometres noertheast of Saskatoon, at 10:20 a.m. according to a news release.
They learned that there had been an explosion, and that the fire was continuing to burn.
There were no reported injuries. Prudhomme and Vonda firefighters worked on the fire with TransGas explosions.
RCMP are asking the public to stay away and are evacuating the area within a two mile radius of the site.
