One person is dead after a GO bus rolled over on Highways 407.
The crash happened shortly after 10 p.m. Wednesday
OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt confirmed there were 6 people on board at the time, including the driver.
One male passenger was killed after he was ejected from the bus and pinned under its front end.
The male driver suffered minor injuries, 2 female passengers suffered non-life threatening injuries, and 2 male passengers were not hurt.
All passengers were young adults, but it’s not clear if they were students.
Go Transit confirmed that the bus involved was operating Route 47 from Hamilton to York University with multiple stops in between.
Sgt. Schmidt says it appears that the bus crashed through a steel barrier, onto a grassy patch and flipped onto its side. Part of the steel barrier crashed through the bus and was inside it.
