An armoured car guard was shot during an attempted robbery Thursday morning in the Avenue Rd. and Lawrence Avenue area.
It happened just after 1:15 a.m. and police took 2 men into custody nearby a short time later.
Police say they were arrested in the Lawrence heights neighbourhood and a gun was also recovered.
The victim is reportedly in his 40′s and was shot twice during the heist and police say he is now in stable condition at Sunnybrook.
Avenue Rd is closed north of Lawrence in both directions for the investigation.
