The suspect in a gas-and-dash case which left a city woman dead is now facing a second-degree murder charge.
35-year-old Maryam Rashidi was run down while trying to prevent a pick-up truck suspected in a gas and dash from fleeing back on June 9th. She died in hospital three days later.
20-year-old Joshua Mitchell was originally charged with criminal negligence causing death but in a court appearance today that was raised to second degree murder. He is also now charged with robbery.
Mitchell will be back in court on July 30th.
