The RCMP officer who tasered Robert Dziekanski at the Vancouver airport more than seven years ago has been found guilty of perjury.
Constable Kwesi Millington showed little emotion as the judge spent most of the day outlining why he believes the officer who repeatedly tasered Robert Dziekanski is guilty of lying under oath at least six times.
BC Supreme Court Justice William Ehrcke says claims the man who died had to be wrestled to the ground are ‘patently false’ and Millington lied to cover up the fact the stun gun never should have been deployed a second, let alone a third and fourth time.
Dziekanski’s mother, Zofia Cisowski says she’s happy, but the conviction won’t bring Robert back.
“My son was my life. He was very good to me…. the best.”
Millington’s back in court March 19th, but no date has been set for sentencing.
