A man has been arrested following the attempted abduction of a two-year-old-girl in Stanley Park on Monday – just three days after a strikingly similar abduction attempt in the park.
It happend around 2:00pm on Monday afternoon, when police say a man grabbed a two-year-old near Lost Lagoon.
The girl’s father confronted him and he fled.
Police caught up with him not longer afterward on Alberni Street and made the arrest.
Police say they believe it to be the same man in the attempted snatching of an eight-year-old girl on Friday.
No names have been released. The suspect with no fixed address, remains in custody, pending further investigation.
