Man dies from electric shock in Etobicoke, Report

One man was taken to hospital without vital signs after suffering an electrical shock while atop an abandoned industrial building in Etobicoke early Saturday morning.

It happened near The Queensway and St. Lawrence Avenue at around 1 a.m.

Paramedics said the man had touched a live wire and received an electric shock. He was taken to St. Joseph’s Health Centre in critical condition.

When paramedics arrived, they found three men on top of the building. While the first man had been shocked, the other two men were assessed at the scene and then released.

It’s not clear why the three men were on top of the abandoned building.

Toronto Hydro was called to the scene to disconnect and then re-energize the power.
