Edmonton police are investigating what they describe as a “serious assault” in the west end of the city.
A man showed up at the Aurora Motel near 111th Avenue and 151st Street just before 2:00 Wednesday morning with critical injuries. He’s being treated in hospital.
At around the same time, police found a stolen vehicle a few blocks away on 149th Street that had knocked over a tree, with no one inside. It’s not clear yet whether the two crime scenes are connected, and the search for suspects continues.
For the time being, police have blocked off a lane northbound on 149th Street between 107th And 111th Avenues to investigate.
