Toronto Mayor Rob Ford gave a fiery speech at a campaign BBQ in Etobicoke on Saturday evening, thanking the crowd for their support following his cancer diagnosis earlier this month.
The mayor is now longer running for the top job but is looking to recall his old council seat in Ward 2.
Global News Reporter Cindy Pom was at the event and says Ford was visibly weaker, talking much slower and speaking with a hoarse voice.
The real rapturous applause was held for mayoral candidate Doug Ford who promised to continue his brother’s legacy and also took pot shots at John Tory and his campaign.
The Doug Ford Campaign estimates over 11 thousand people were in attendance at Fordfest.
