A woman in Nova Scotia has been charged with assault for allegedly throwing a hot slice of pizza in another woman’s face, causing burns to her face, neck and chest.
Truro police responded to a call at a downtown bar at about 2:15 a.m.
A 22-year-old woman who was waiting in line at a nearby pizza shop had a disagreement with three other women, police said.
The victim had hot pizza shoved in her face, resulting in burns to her face and chest.
She was treated by paramedics.
Three women from the Truro area were questioned Monday and a 29-year-old woman was
charged with assault causing bodily harm.
Police do not expect to lay any additional charges against the accused or the other two women.
The woman charged with assault was released on an undertaking and is to appear in Truro provincial court on May 13.
