A 20-year-old man has been formally charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of his father in Richmond Hill on Friday afternoon.
Police were called just before noon on Friday to a home in the Bayview and Highway 7 area in Richmond Hill.
When they arrived they found the 62-year-old victim dead.
York Regional Police says they are not releasing the names of the son and father in order to protect the identity of the witnesses.
Cops haven’t revealed the cause of death.
The accused appeared in court Saturday morning.
