The RCMP is investigating allegations of fraud, breach of trust and money laundering by three senior managers of the Ontario Provincial Police union, search warrant documents show.
The revealation came in court documents which were released Friday afternoon.
There are also allegations of criminal breach of trust and fraudulant concealment.
RCMP conducted a search of several locations as part of their criminal investigation, including the OPP Association office in Barrie.
Association President, Jim Christie and VP Martin Bain have since taken voluntary leaves of absence.
And the union’s Chief Administrative Officer, whose office was also searched, is on administrative leave.
In a statement, the Association says it was fully co-operating with RCMP, and had handed over any items listed in search warrants.
